Hi, I've created a 64bit build of Blender, but many dependencies are still missing. They are not yet used in Blender 2.5, but I still need to work on that before we get a fully functional 64bit of Blender.

Work in this branch might get ported over to trunk (2.48a)

I don't know if this will work on Intel CPUs, I'd say test and report :)

The file is a self-extracting 7z archive. It has been tested for viruses with up-to-date AVG (it's clean).
