    BMesh??? Where is it???

Make a tube (cylinder), Go into edit mode. Now select all faces on capped end. Hit 'F' to make faces into a single bmesh face. Now go into edge mode. Try to use 'alt + R' to select edges of bmesh face. It does not work. this is probably a fault of the way that the edge selection routine works rather than Bmesh, but thought to mention it.

    Thanks, that is working!
I hope that in the final 2.5 it's implemented automatically in all meshes! So you can change the number of faces in the mesh attributes like in other applications like Maya since many years ago!!

ignatz, ctrl-r is loop cut alt-r is for spin

Ugh, very fine tools (finally), but build is totally unstable when working with complicated mesh (for example when converting spline to mesh etc.).

    Ignatz:
I personally can't think of a nice way to extend the concept of loops to faces with more (or less) than four sides.

Tris break loops. N-gons probably will do so too.
That's one reason, why you still will want to go for quads in most cases, rather than n-gons...
Though, I guess, actually it's easier to get rid of any non-quads and even improve the loop structure with all the other features added with bmesh :)

Bmesh is very nice indeed and is something I've been looking forward to for a while. I use the bevel tool often when modeling, and noticed it is currently unavailable in 2.5. Would I be correct in assuming that it will be usable again soon?
