Important Note: There is a small bug in the GLSL config in this build.

If you experience this problem, you can download the build here Kai's Updated Build
Then Copy the .exe from it into the main folder. This fixes the bug in one node.

Please Note: I am seeking Builders for Linux & OSX to build this version for those systems.

Please Note 2: alternate download link http://www.cdupload.com/files/59919_8cfyi/__854_Kai_249a.rar

Please Note 3: Kai has released an all in one patch.
    All In One Patch: http://video.blendertestbuilds.de/kaikostack/090707.zip
    This is great news!
So this should help getting similar builds for Linux & OSX.

    Thanks for the positive comments.
dreamon, you can always install Yafaray yourself as it works best with it's own installer.
    Neoblood
Thanks a lot, this is cool. I wouldn't mind a version with yafaray myself since I can't seem to get it to work except with the older .zip version.
    Zebulon
    Nice indeed!

Neoblood: You can add YafaRay easy yourself by:
    1) Download my build here: http://www.graphicall.org/builds/builds/showbuild.php?action=show&id=1018

    2) either use this build or...

    3) copy the folder .blender\plugins\yafaray to this builds plugins folder (from the my SSE2 Py 2.5 build!)

    4) copy the script yafaray_ui.py from the .\blender\scripts folder to this builds scripts folder

That should enable yafary in this build too

    Hi Zebulon.
I was going to include Yafaray,
but ran into a few probs.
So I just use your build if I need Yafaray.
    BTW, I stole your theme!
it's in the scripts menu & changes the icons too. :)
I'm a big fan of your builds & use them regularly.

    Thanks for the kind comments.
    Brendon.

    Hi meta..

Not entirely my theme. I found the basic color setup nice but it was hard to read the text and did' t like some other settings - so I tweaked it to my liking. Anyway - seeing your build I personally like "my" theme the best in it. But also thought maybe to adjust the menu transparency a bit.
If I find a better theme tweak you'll surely find a v.4 soon.
(I thought that the max upload size it 30MB - they must have changed it or given you special permission?)

hi Zebulon. I look forward to the new theme.
I did get special permissions to upload the build yes.
Much thanks to Daniel who went above & beyond the call to help me get this out!

Great build , great collection , very usefull .
Good idea to put all those stuff together.

    Many thanks !!!!!

    it's getting handy...
i'm a new blender user, in the process of learning linux OS now. is there anything i have to do if i want to use your build on linux?
    many thanks meta
    Zebulon
    To satria..

I once managed to use my windows build running in WINE. You could give it a try...
    satria
    thank you, Zebulon.
second days on Linux, feels strange. looks promising... after windows 98 for many years... :D

Personally I would use a Linux build. I did one here at as well.
The only thing a bit tricky as a new Linux user would be to find some extra dependencies. That is however not to difficult.
If like I could try to assist you.
    Zebulon
    Kalle
Can I use this to I am running a iMac Intel Leopard
    Paul
    Thanks.
A Linux build would be nice
    meta-androcto
    Hi,
Apart from the patches by Kai Kostack,
Everything else is in the .blender folder & plugins folder.
You should, (except for plugins), be able to transfer the files to your OS.
If anyone successfully does this, I am happy to provide links in the main post.
Note that I changed the file structure of .blender/scripts, so you may need to delete the original scripts first.
    Chris
Wow, great collection. All the example scenes are a really nice addition, it seems like you have everything in there that's been featured on Blendernation. :)
    degentd
Awesome pack. Thanx a lot for share. :-))
    Zebulon
    1000+ downloads - I guess that's a new record?
    Congratulations!
    lowercasepeople
I could try to build this for linux 64bit.
    meta-androcto
    Zebulon, he he. Incredible!

    lowercasepeople,
    that would be great.
    You can contact me:
    meta.androcto1 at the domain gmail.com
Just a note that most of the files are transferable to Linux.
However, True Linux & OSX builds would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for the wonderful support.
    Zebulon
You may use my Linux x86_64 build : http://graphicall.org/builds/builds/showbuild.php?action=show&id=888

but that's a unpatched version. For all functionality I would need the full patched source.

I don't have the patch coding ability that Kai has :(
    meta-androcto
    hi Zebulon,
Kai has released an all in one patch.

    THANKS

I will give it a try. Though, because my home is a building site at the moment that might take some time.

Thanx - but i have a question... i thought Blender 2.49a required py 2.6? are the scripts compiled with py 2.5 going to work as they should? or do you load both Py 2.5 and Py 2.6 and C++ ? just asking since i'm renewing my self with blender
    *comment from the builder
    meta_androcto
    Hi chase,
You can have Python 2.5 & 2.6 installed on the same computer.
There are not really any problems with the scripts with Python 2.6.
However Kai's Build has always been compiled with Python 2.5.
You can still transfer the scripts to Blender 2.49a Python 2.6 if you want to use them in Official Blender.
    chase
thanx meta_androcto - i just read something about this build and another on Blender Artists forum though i've had two version of Py installed before, you just confirmed i can lighten the load and this will still work. thanx again - this looks to be a well packed build. Heard good things all 'round. - cheers ;0)

    Hi,
if I set clean.B.blend as default what I'll missed?
    meta-androcto
hi, you lose the py node scripts, file paths & presets/examples.
so you could rename the .B.blend first.
then load clean.blend & save as user default, so you still can access the collection if you like.

Hi! I had started making a car in Blender and then I found this Blender Pack.

When I open this Blender, I see all Material Library. But as soon as I open the .blend file that created by usual Blender edition, all the materials disappear.

Please help. I want to render using car paint of this Blender.

    Tahseen
