    Question:

    - General

  • What is GraphicAll.org?

    - We, Blender users, love to test development builds! SVN builds allways have the latest
incredible features being developed by the coders. But there were two problems, first, it
was usual that some coders with test builds to show simply don`t have a good web server to
host their builds and share with the comunity, so they had to use bad free hosting services,
and second, most of users find dificult to keep track off all newest test builds and their
    characteristics.

GraphicAll.org gives free, quality hosting for Blender coders and builders and allow users
to have quick and easy acces to those builds.

    - Users

  • Do I need to register?

    - No, users can download the builds, post comments and use any other features without the
    need of registration.

  • What features are available?

    - With the builds filter you can isolate only the builds by operating sytem and/or type
you want to see in the list, just select one or bouth options from the drop down menu
    and press "View".

    - If your browser supports live bookmarks you can suscribe to GraphicAll.org's feed and
keep track of the 10 latest builds rigth there in your browser toolbar.

    - You can post comments in any build you want, just fill the "Name" and "Comment" areas
and press "Add Comment". You don't need to register of course.

  • What do each of the build types mean?

    - BF stands for Blender Fundation, this is Blender's development trunk
wich ends up being an official release when the development cycle is over. This builds
should not contain anything different from Blender's official Trunk and are
usually safe to use in serious projects but could be unstable.

    - SoC stands for (Google) Sommer of Code, this tag is used for builds made
from SoC branches in development, each branch has its own topic and owner and are usually
unstable and dangerous to use for anything else than testing and bug hunting. This Branches
are then merged to Trunk when / if they meet the desired quality.

    - Experimental builds can contain personal development branches, patches and any
other changes or aditions that the builder may have added to the build; this are ment only for
testing and bug hunting porpouses and may have unfinished features that can break .blend file
    compatibility with other builds

    - Coders

  • Do I need to register?

    - Yes, if you want to upload your builds you need to submit the small registration form
and wait for us to manually aprove you. As soon as we accept your request in the admin
panel, a confirmation email is sent to you with instructions about how to use the system.

  • Why do I need to register?

    - So that only the build creator (owner) can edit, replace or errase his build.
The administrators have also editing privilages but we expect the owner to mantain
his builds in order, we only try to make sure there isn't something wrong like a
bad link, incorrect build info (SO, Tipe, etc) or just very old builds.

  • Why do I need to wait for your aprouval at registration?

    - Only real Blender coders and builders should have acces to the upload form,
we don't want to take chances about someone using GraphicAll.org to host
personal files or uploading false builds. We want to mantain a secure and serious
    place.

  • What features are available?

    - To create new builds login and press "add a build" to go to the upload
form, fill in the options and press add build. At the moment there
is't any progress bar, so just be patient untill the confirmation message appears.

    - You can also edit, delete or update your own builds with the "Delete Build"
and "Edit Build" buttons that appear when you are logged in. When you are editing you
can change any text or option or replace the uploaded file with a new one, in that
case, the build will be rised to the first position in the list, and the date
will be reseted. You are encouraged to reuse the same post over and over again for
all the builds you upload of the same general specifications (same OS, optimization
flags, branch, patches, etc) instead of creating a clone post of every new revision.
