Note: No build today, I'm getting segmentation faults on Ubuntu/Fedora. Will upload when it's fixed :)
This is the GSOC Bratwurst branch of Blender, compiled on Fedora 17 64bit.
Do you need FBX and Collada import? If so, try using this build for the FBX: http://graphicall.org/1000. And the official Blender binary from blender.org has Collada enabled, so you could use that for Collada import.
Let me know if that works :)
All you need to do is:
1. sign up to the mailing list
2. send an email to 'firstname.lastname@example.org' with your problem in the subject line (e.g 'bratwurst build stops at stack.c'), and more details in the email itself. You'll want to paste the errors you're getting either directly in the email or at pasteall.org.
3. Wait for an answer :) You can choose to get a list of all new messages in the mailing list daily, or you can just check the archives from your browser: http://lists.blender.org/pipermail/soc-2012-dev/

I'm interested in the fbx-importer from aramis. Trying to build myself on mac os x 10.6.8 and on ubuntu 10.04 lucid with scons gave me this error today

Why is this so so complicated? I just want this mac binary…
If there's a specific feature you're interested in you could go to that projects blenderartists thread and ask for an OSX build?
Ok. You got me. I didn't enable this vars in the CMake Config. Now it works. Thanks a lot.
I tried the build from demohero but I cant find the button for the import script.
But this leads me to the question if there is even any button for fbx import. Or do I have to call a python script? Sorry for asking silly questions...
You don't need assimp-devel etc - the latest assimp source is embedded in the blender build. Can you paste me the error log if you keep getting errors?
