Blender 2.63 'Ultimate', includes (almost) everything you will ever need in a Blender build!

A special blender build by CGEffex

Compiled with MSVC 2008 and scons

  This build is compatible with 2.0 and 2.1 cuda-enabled NVIDIA cards

- To check what Cuda version your card uses go here: http://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-gpus

- For more information on Cuda technology see here: http://developer.nvidia.com/category/zone/cuda-zone

Note to anyone using this build:

I would be very happy if you notified me in the comments of any new patches or scripts you would like included in this

build. I'm always happy for new features and addons! However, I can't promise I can add everything

because bmesh did break alot of addons and patches, such as the Advanced Array Modifier patch (which I do miss greatly),

and things are constantly changing and being upgraded so patches don't always work, especially older ones.

---- ------- ----- ------- --------

- I have been having trouble compiling the older CUDA binaries, so I now I will just be compiling for the newer 2.0 and 2.1 kernels.

---- ------- ----- ------- --------

WITH_BF_QUICKTIME = False #Quicktime SDK not installed.
WITH_BF_JACK = False #Not needed on windows system
BF_CYCLES_CUDA_BINARIES_ARCH = ['sm_20', 'sm_21']
BF_DEBUG = False
BF_NUMJOBS = 2 #Compiling on dual core system

 Planet Texture Patch

Demolition 2.5 Patch

BGE Candy Patch (Broken)

Kajiyakay and Beckmann Shaders (Broken)

Release   Developed on Blender Foundation's servers and included in the official Blender distribution (see bf-extensions)

Contrib    Developed on Blender Foundation's servers, but distributed in a separate repository (mainly because not useful to everyone

              and/or because it might be unstable), and not included in the official Blender distribution (see bf-extensions)

External  Two cases:

  1. Uploaded on bf-extensions Upload tracker (under review)
  2. Not developed on Blender Foundation's servers.
    • Big projects might develop scripts outside of blender.org servers (like Luxrender, Yafaray, Make Human, etc...). These scripts can be dumped in bf-extensions servers to ease their scripts distribution in the blender community, but we don't take responsability for these scripts, neither do we want to fork them.
    • A small project might want to develop scripts in own repository. In this case we can link it here, even if the scripts is not dumped in BF servers.

Note: if a script is "External", use it at your own risk.

Contrib Addons (Now included in trunk):

All addons from https://svn.blender.org/svnroot/bf-extensions/contrib/py/scripts/addons/

@ Revision 3470

Blenderpython Scripts library (Collection of upload & extern scripts):

All addons from https://blenderpython.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/blenderpython/scripts_library/scripts/addons_extern

 @ Revision 485

Other External Addons

LuxBlender 2.5 (With pylux.pyd & presets) Note: LuxBlend is updated at each compile time.

Rock generator manual (.PDF)

File compressed with 7zip @ level 9

Enjoy, and BLEND ON!

Thanks for the tip, I'll fix that on my next build update...I had been including those items at first because when they were release I don't believe they were enabled by default, however, now that they are official, I can take them out...and clear up some title space!

Please edit the tittle of this build according to the rules. SPecially tags like bmesh and ocean sim do not belong in the title after they become official features

Okay, I found out what the problem was. The blender directory of the new build needed an opencl.dll to work. Pylux now also works.

I reinstalled the c++ package, which didn't do the trick. I tried running your update, where (at least for me) Lux refuses to work at all. So I tried manually installing the new version of Lux with the official 2.63 release, which showed the same Pylux error as your build. I think there may be a problem with the new Lux build itself.

Now I tried it with 2.62, which I heard works well, and it still gives me errors, so the problem may be on my end.

The only thing I can recommend is that you make sure you have 'Microsoft
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package' installed, (Available here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29). According to Luxrender.net, you need that package installed to utilize pylux. I'm updating my build today, and I'm gonna make sure I have the very latest pylux.pyd included in the build. I would appreciate some feedback once you make sure VC++2008 Redist is installed and you try my new build.

P.S. I just checked my pylux.pyd version with the version included in the latest LuxRender release, and apparently my version is a bit old. The new version will be included in my next update, be sure to test it out and let me know if it works.

Awesome build, but for some reason Pylux doesn't work for me. Material previews are a black screen, and the console shows warnings about some parameters not being used, and " 'custom_context' object has no attribute 'updateStatisticsWindow'. Any idea what might be the problem?

npm1, I did a bit of research and found that:
a, 7zip provides superior compression (Easier on graphicall bandwidth)
b, Winrar is not a free open source application, and as a general rule I avoid those, especially in this case when it would be used to store an open source application (Blender)
c, 93.75% of the windows builds on the first page use the 7zip format. I'm not one to always jump on the bandwagon, but it does seem to be a generally preferred format, and graphicall recommends it in their faq.

Not to be mean spirited, but I'm gonna have to stick with 7zip. I'm not exactly sure of the problem you are having on your pc, but 7zip does provide plenty of great versions of their software here: http://www.7-zip.org/ including a no-install zip, which may be helpful.

great but why do u use 7zip to archive ur file.....when someones on a windows workstation(@work/uni with limited space///quotad space)7 zip doewsn't extract files into memory properly thus making it use less becuase the use cant open it ......try to use a .rar as your archive method so that poeple can open it where ever and keep it as a portable file

Well wakkko, I have a 64 bit system, but it is currently running Windows XP 32 bit. I do plan to upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit in the future, and so eventually I hope to upload 64 bit builds. Until I get Windows 7, however, I might try running a 64 bit Linux system for use of the 64 bit power. So, there is a small possibility of some Linux 64 bit builds, but no promises :)

Any 64 bits version planned ?

hi again, you can contact me best on irc #blenderpython
or mail to meta.androcto1 (at the place) gmail.com

the way the external lib is set up, you can add the folder addons_extern into blender 2.62/scripts/
blender will find everything & they don't need to be mixed with other addons :)
thanks again
