Window 64bit Freestyle build.

Freestyle adds a powerful Non-Photorealistic Line Drawing rendering from within Blender.

More information on the project can be found here: http://freestyle.sourceforge.net/

and here: http://freestyleintegration.wordpress.com/

T.K. who is one of the developers, puts an incredible amount of work into this and is very active at this thread: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?89986-Freestyle-for-Blender&highlight=freestyle

Note that this build now includes Cycles in the trunk, but cycles does not work with Freestyle at the moment due to Cycle not having proper render layers setup.

Build options on Windows 7 x64, Built with MSVC++ Express modified to allow x64 builds. Using .7z format for the archive file now because it's such a smaller size (you need the free 7zip to open).

@ justposted Thanks, I have to reinstall blender and copy all files into the folder

@Guz: to use Freestyle? Just open Blender.exe then tick the Freestyle button in the Render Buttons window. All the line options then appear under the Render Layers window.

Confirmed the issue. I am going to look into it. Thanks for the problem report.

Thanks for the great work!
One thing I did notice in this built however is that apparently when you are using the "Edge marks"-option in a scene that includes an object influenced by the cloth modifier, the marked edges on the said object are displayed in a weird way.

Is there any way to make this work? I have the "this application was unable to start correctly" error. I copied vcomp90.dll over to the blender folder but no luck. I cant find a freestyle build that will run for me at all (win7 64)

Unless someone eles has figured this out, this is missing a fairly vital dependancy for users, OpenMP needs #include in order to work. This is probably what is causing the vcom90.dll errors, though I amnot completely certain.

If you're having problems with VCOMP90.DLL, you should try copying VCOMP90.DLL to the place where Blender's executable is.This runtime is from Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x64)

Best regards

@instudios, sorry didn't comment earlier. Graphicall doesn't notify of comments. I have no idea what the issue is with you running this, I use it with not problems at all. A quick look online said this error happens when you try and run a 64bit application on a 32bit OS. Are you sure you have a 64bit OS, this build won't work on 32 builds.

Not sure what my problem is. At first I was getting the vcomp90.dll error, so I then copied the vcomp90.dll file from my previous Blender directory in hopes that this would fix the problem (as stated above). But now I'm getting another (new) error when I attempt to start the build. The error reads:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK toc close application.

Anyone else run into this problem? And if so, what did you do to fix it?

@hinabita, read the comments below. I don't seem to need the file, but some do. Just copy VCOMP90.DLL from your regular blender installation.

Why can't use new build? (missing VCOMP90.DLL)

That's very strange! I don't even have that file in there and it runs just fine. Good to know it can just be copied over from the main trunk.

strange... I have installed already the VC2008 SP1 (x86), VC2008 SP1 (x64), VC2010 (x86) and VC2010 (x64).
i repaired all these installations...
and on tree different systems (an old, a medium and a virgin installation of win7 x64)... all with the msvc redistributables
from microsoft are installed, but i have still to copy the vcom90.dll by hand to your build... sins the last three build i tested.

@beta-tester, that file actually comes with the Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistribution Package (x64) which needs to be installed on your machine. It may come pre-packaged with the official download now? But it's just as easy to install from the link below.

in your build 41197 there is VCOMP90.DLL missing... i copied the missing dll from the official blender 2.60a to your build, and now it works.

My test projects takes 1 hour on 32bit.
But 64bit does not take 30 minutes at 120frame.

Je rencontre des problèmes avec la prise en compte des raccourcis clavier , (le temps de réaction est trop long)

@r4ytrace: There is still a 32 bit build on the old Graphicall site, it just hasn't been transferred over. Look under Summer of Code builds, or use this link: http://www.graphicall.org/builds/builds/showbuild.php?action=show&id=1273 . I'm sure that paulhart2 will put a build up on the new site soon.

@crazycourier: Thanks a lot for this build. Freestyle has been crying out for a 64 bit version, given the memory challenges that it can pose, so this is very much appreciated. Here's to a less crashy future!

np man - thanks a lot for building this version anyway - I should probably dualboot with a 64 bit OS anywayz :)

Sorry, I'm not setup to do 32 builds and have no intention to do any in the future. You might check ba.org forum post above. Sometimes people post links to builds on there, or maybe one of the 32bit builders here might do it.

this looks cool - will there be a Win32 build? :D
